Play Based Learning

Children will grow through daily play based learning experiences that nurture them academically, emotionally and socially.

Our School

Our preschool was founded in 1967. Our school meets the needs of families who are looking to drop their children off for a few hours as well as families who are interested in a cooperative opportunity to be actively involved in their child's first educational experience! Our teachers create engaging, exciting opportunities to learn the building blocks of socialization, reading, writing, and discovering.

Our Programs

UCP offers programs for children 6 months through 5 years old. Our school proudly offers drop off classes for children ages 2 to 5 years old for 2 to 5 days each week. We also offer Mommy and Me classes for children ages 6 months through 2 years old.

Our Mission

It is the mission of United Community Preschool to provide a warm and caring environment that nurtures each child socially, physically, and cognitively, through the combined efforts of teachers and parents.

WHAT WE OFFER

Toddler & Me

Two groups--one for ages 6-18 months and one for ages 18 months to 3 years--offer weekly, fun-filled classes with playtime, songs and movement, stories, and crafts for little ones and their caregivers.

2-Year-Olds

Our twice weekly drop-off class provides hands-on, interactive learning in a nurturing environment and includes free play, arts and crafts, story time, songs, and more.

3-Year-Olds

With options for 2 and 3 day programming, our classes for 3-year-olds use a play-based learning approach to foster developmental growth, independence, and exploration.

Pre-K

Through classes offered 3, 4, or 5 days each week, our programs prepare children for kindergarten through creative play and instruction aligned with NYS Prekindergarten Learning Standards to support intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development.
