OUR TEACHERS

Mrs. Burns

Mrs. Burns

Mrs. Burns has worked in early childhood education for the past twenty years. She has an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Stony Brook and a Masters in Elementary Education from Hofstra. She loves teaching children at the age of 3 because they have such wonder and excitement and a yearning to ask, WHY? "I love to see the spark in their eyes when something finally makes sense or the satisfaction when they complete a task."

Mrs. Dini

Mrs. Dini

Mrs. Dini has over 20 years of experience teaching young children. She has been with UCP for 15 years and before that taught pre-school for 8 years. Mrs. Dini has a degree from SUNY Farmingdale in Early Childhood Education. She continued her studies and graduated from C.W. Post College with a degree in Elementary Education. Later, she received her Master's degree in education from Adelphi. Her three children attended UCP many years ago and she enjoyed the friendly and caring environment. Knowing that it was a wonderful place for children to grown she returned to teach. She feels such joy coming to school everyday; it is so rewarding to see the world through the eyes of a preschooler.

Mrs. Dasaro

Mrs. Dasaro

Mrs. Dasaro is a certified teacher with over 26 years experience teaching young children. She always wanted to become a teacher since she was a child. She began her teaching career as a elementary school teacher, then Special Ed. After 7 years at the NYC Department of Education Mrs. Dasaro took time off to raise her own family of 4 children, three of whom attended United Church Preschool. Her love of children lead her to become a nursery teacher. After working in Longwood for several years she came to teach at UCP and has remained for 15 years. "When you work at something you love it's not a job." That describes my feelings in a nutshell.
